- Exclusive Rights
A licensor may grant a licensee the sole right - or Exclusive Right to exploit her work. If Exclusive Rights are granted, this means that no one, including the creator, can distribute the work without permission from the licensee. A creator can grant a licensee the limited Exclusive Rights, such as the right to distribute the work over the Internet or in audio/visual format, but still retain other rights.
