Keep Your Copyrights

A resource for creators

About Us

KeepYourCopyrights.org was developed by the Kernochan Center for Law, Media, and the Arts and the Program on Law & Technology at Columbia Law School.

The Kernochan Center engages in research and law reform concerning creators and works of authorship. One of its main missions is to contribute to a broader understanding of the legal aspects of creative works of authorship, including their dissemination and use. Jane C. Ginsburg and June M. Besek are co-directors of the Center. Philippa S. Loengard is the Assistant Director of the Center.

The Program on Law & Technology at Columbia Law School was founded to publicize research on the legal problems created by technological innovation, and to design and disseminate technologies that might serve the public’s interest in law and legal change. Tim Wu is the Director of the Program.

This site was designed and programmed by Stuart Sierra.

We gratefully acknowledge the assistance of Tayo Giwa, Columbia Law School Class of 2008 and Jennifer Jacobs and Suhna Pierce, Columbia Law School Class of 2009.
